Following up from our 2023 housing study, LinkNKY reports that CommunityScale has been awarded a contract to prepare Kenton County’s Income-Aligned Housing Implementation Strategies and Action Plan. Phase 1 engagement will translate the county’s 2024 Comprehensive Plan goals into a detailed roadmap for creating housing that residents at every income level can afford.

Over the next months, we will carry out a three-part process that begins with stakeholder mapping and focus-group sessions, moves into proforma-based feasibility testing and a zoning audit, and culminates in a draft action plan. The plan will identify specific policy changes, infrastructure investments, and funding sources that can unlock new housing types from duplexes and townhomes to senior living options.
