Everett Recodification

SOLUTIONS

CommunityScale led the complete rezoning of Everett, Massachusetts with Stantec’s Urban Places and BBHS Law, modernizing an outdated code to deliver the mayor’s vision of a walkable, mixed-use city. The work addressed mobility, new land use categories, a revised zoning map, economic development, and stormwater management, rewriting the ordinance to support contemporary growth. As Planning and Development Director Matthew Lattanzi noted, CommunityScale has collaborated with the city on several pivotal projects spanning zoning, design, and analysis, consistently bringing innovative, responsive solutions. The recodification gave Everett a coherent, modern framework aligned with its goals for housing and economic vitality.
