CommunityScale on Straight Talk radio to discuss Catawba Regional Workforce Housing Study

During a site visit including focus groups in each of the region’s four counties, the CommunityScale team stopped by Sub Station II in Rock Hill, SC, the longstanding sandwich shop in Rock Hill where local radio station WRHI has recorded the daily Straight Talk show for many years. Jeff Sauser and Sarabrent McCoy joined our client Elizabeth Morgan of Catawba COG to talk about the project’s purpose, progress, and objectives.

“One of the challenges with housing studies lately, as things change faster and faster, is the data is out of date by the time you’re done. To be able to equip the COG and stakeholders with something that always has the latest census data, always has fresh market data, helps people feel confident that they’re working with the latest information, not yesterday’s information, when they’re making policy decisions for tomorrow.”

— Jeff Sauser, Principal, CommunityScale

“Having the facts definitely leads you in a direction of better solutions.”

— Sarabrent McCoy, Associate, CommunityScale

“We’re so accustomed to thinking about it at the municipal level, at the local level, but starting to appreciate that this is a regional phenomenon, these are regional forces.”

— Jeff Sauser, Principal, CommunityScale
